June 13, 2006, 5:30pm – 9:30pm at DDB-SF in San Francisco.
We want you to be more than a guest.... We want you to contribute
to our 100-Year Perspective of Bay Area Advertising. Get out
those great, award- winning print, radio, TV, outdoor, and online
ads that are on those archived reels. We'll collect all submissions
and make a killer DVD that will be featured the night of our
100-Year Surprise Party. Consult the requirements below for
submission and then-send us your stuff!
Call for Submission Guidelines:

Submissions must be digitized and submitted on DVD format
only.

Creative must have originated in the San Francisco Bay
Area

Material should include any advertising work created since
1906.

Organize submissions by decade with annotations as needed.

Internet ads rise 38%
Online
advertising rose sharply in the first quarter of 2006. According
to Marketwatch, annual spending on online advertising has been
rising since 2002, when $6 billion was spent on Internet marketing.
In 2003, advertisers spent $7.2 billion. In 2004, $9.6 billion
was spent. Last year, marketers spent $12.5 billion on the Web.
