Bay Area Interactive Group (BIG) Goes Live With 'BIG Sessions'
Podcast Features Exclusive Interviews with the Industry's Most
Influential Players
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 7, 2005 - The Bay Area Interactive Group
(BIG), a professional trade organization for digital marketers, has
created the BIG Sessions podcast (www.bigsessions.com).
The downloadable audio broadcast features exclusive interviews with
the industry's most influential players such as Mark Stewart, OMD's
Eastern Regional Managing Director, and PJ Pereira, AKQA's Executive
Creative Director, San Francisco. Stewart and Pereira recently served
as 2005 Jury Presidents for the Media and Cyber Lions respectively.
Both were interviewed at the 52nd Cannes Lions International
Advertising Festival. The host of the BIG Sessions is Jon Raj, Vice
President of Advertising and Emerging Media Platforms at Visa USA and
Education Chair of BIG.
"This broadcast will discuss advertising issues, marketing trends and
strategies with the industry's trailblazers," said Raj. "Our goal for
these sessions is to provide listeners with valuable insights from
interactive, traditional and alternative media."
"Podcasting is a big trend and there is already a shift from music and
other consumer programs into content downloads like the BIG Sessions,"
said John Durham, President of BIG. ""Listeners are able to download
interviews directly to their MP3 player or computer and the podcasting
software will automatically search for and download any new
installments whenever it's connected to the Internet."
Future BIG Sessions will feature: Joanne Bradford, Chief Media Revenue
Officer at Microsoft; Matt Freeman, CEO North America at Tribal DDB;
Glen Sheehan, Creative Director, North America, Digital, at Young &
Rubicam Brands; and Sean Finnegan, US Director at OMD Digital.
